Das Boot Camp Restaurant & Bar was established in 2012.  We are located on the corner of Main Street & Crawford Avenue in historic Downtown Norman, Oklahoma.  Das Boot Camp serves traditional German dishes all made from scratch, as well as some German dishes with an American twist.  We offer a full bar as well as Handcrafted German beer by Royal Bavaria Brewery in Moore, OK.

 

For many years, customers at Royal Bavaria made comments such as "I wish you were open for lunch" and "It would be great if Royal Bavaria had TVs so we could eat your great German food and drink your handcrafted beer while we watch sporting events".  And that's where the vision for Das Boot Camp was born.

 

In 2012, Andy Gmeiner, owner of Royal Bavaria started searching for a location in Norman for his new restaurant.  He believed Downtown Norman was the perfect spot. After looking at several properties, he chose a building at the corner of Main & Crawford. The building once housed Norman's original TG&Y store.  The building was completely gutted and construction began.  

 

Several months later, Das Boot Camp opened its doors on October 19, 2012 in what was basically a brand new building. We are open for lunch and dinner 7 days a week.  There are TVs throughout the restaurant showing major sporting events. We feature a menu with nothing over $12, two daily happy hours and a daily lunch special. We also offer food delivery in Norman as well as catering.
